For the love of Leilo

We got Leilo for my daughter’s birthday. Leilo a little pekineses  was at a pet store in a cage with her brother’s they were all playing very aggressively and she was getting picked on by both of them at the same time. So we say we did rescued poor Leilo from being trapped with her brother’s in that little cage. We brought home and she was so scared she would barely move and didn’t make a peep. As time went by she became more and more playful and a big part of our family. We grew so fond of her and wanted the best for her we decided to get her a sister. My daughter looked online and found site where a family had Pomeranians they had rescued from a breeding farm and they needed new homes. My daughter called and sure enough they had quite a few they had to fine new homes for. It wasn’t too far away so we all got in the truck to go check them out. We pulled up to a country home with a couple of out buildings and dog runs with little dogs mostly pomeranians but there were some other breeds there too. We took Leilo with us so she could pick out her new playmate. The nice woman who was trying to find theses little dogs new homes kept bringing out new ones for us to interact with but I think the first five wanted nothing to do with us or Leilo. Then she brought out a larger pomeranian named Kako and finally they hit it off Leilo and KK as we call her were instant buddies. So we did the paper work paid for her and were on our way with our newest family member KK . KK was from a breeding farm and wan’t use to being handled much or being a pet. When we got her home the first thing we did was get all of the mats out of her hair and she had some good ones and then she got her very first bath, she was so dirty the water turned brown. She did so well for never really being handled before except for vaccinations  but it was obvious she was still very unsure of her new surroundings. After she was dry we let them both outside so she could checkout her new yard but when it was time for them to come back in she didn’t and she wasn’t about to let us catch her again. Leilo realized what was going on and stepped into action. Leilo was like a cutting horse and KK was the steer it was so funny Leilo pinned KK up against the fenced held KK’s leg in her mouth until we could pick KK up my goodness we had no idea Leilo had that in her how smart is that? Since then KK has become a special member of our family too and love’s being a pet we call her the princess she is the sweetest little thing and a smarty too. I think Leilo has taught her well.

All Dogs love going for rides

Dogs love going for car rides. They love to hang their heads out the window or ride in the back of a pick up. I love taking my little poochies for a ride considering that I don’t have to go in anywhere and leave them in the car especially when it’s warmer outside like it was yesterday. I think it was the hottest day of the year so far 78 degrees. The inside of a car can heat up extreamly fast when it starts getting warm out. I think the windows must magnify it and can overheat way too fast. Poor little dogs can have heat stroke too quickly just like leaving small children in the car can over heat them too quickly. Then there are big dogs riding around in the back of pick ups which they love to do. That would be great unless you have to swerve for some reason and I have personally witnessed that. Our neighbor swerved in front of us with his prized Labrador Jake in the bed of his truck, poor Jake didn’t stand a chance he flew into the grill of our tuck. Ron his owner immediately rushed Jake to the veterinarian where he underwent surgery on his leg which had to be pinned because his bone was crushed. Jake did heal and got around pretty well but he was never the same lovable Labrador that he was prior to his injury. He was quite grouchy and chased me into the house on more than one occasion.  So please consider what all can happen if you take your beloved pooch for a ride and keep them safe.

They love me too…

Pets have a way of just melting your heart, they are just so darn cute. I’ve been walking Lola a Boston Terrier for about six weeks or so now and the last time I was there she gave me a little kiss while I was putting her harness on. It was adorable she seemed unsure when we started but she knows she can trust me now and how much I really value her, she is adorable. Last week one of the kitties I’ve been taking care of for months now came out from hiding to meet me finally. I was told I would see the other two but probably not Sophie she is just too shy. But last week while taking care of the rest of the furry family in the house Sophie came out to meet me. It was short lived though, I tried to take a picture to send to her people and she went back under the bed before I could get here picture taken. I was so thrilled that she finally came out to meet me. These little moments are just so enjoyable, I love it.

I love pet sitting

I can’t believe how much I really enjoy pet sitting and dog walking. Last weekend, it was zero out and the wind was blowing way too much, and I was thrilled to be out there with the dogs I was taking care of. I know they enjoyed it too, but we were not out there too long. The cats and dogs are always so excited to see me I really love it. I just can’t believe it has taken me 54 years to figure this out. But I have tried enough other things to appreciate this and I think I have saved the best for last. I’m mature enough to know what is important and we should spend our time doing what we love. I have always been an animal lover they are so amazing. I know I can do this the way I would want ours taken care of and treated.

Why Beloved Pet Nanny?

Everyone involved with Beloved Pet Nanny loves animals and realizes their value. We believe animals are a precious gift from God and should be treated as such. The more any animal interacts with a loving humans the more they understand us and the more  we can understand them. I decided to start pet sitting and dog walking because of our own little furry family. The idea of leaving them in a cold kennel is unbearable to us. They would feel like we just dumped them and forgot about them I can’t begin to imagine how they would think. But they would still love us when we returned. Dogs are a great example of unconditional love, they think we are wonderful. That’s why they deserve our best and we will treat all of your furry family with the best care we have to offer and keep them happy. Tara
